***Update 24/4: I’ve been in contact with the distributor of the release in question, and they’ve removed the release entirely. All the Content ID issues should be resolved now. Thanks for your patience! -s
——————————————————————————————————————–
Recently I’ve been made aware of some issues with several tracks in my library getting flagged for copyright by a band called ‘Everything Connected’. The tracks affected (so far) are:
- Resonance
- Computations in a Snowstorm
- Blood
- Skyward
- Intervention
I’m currently investigating the issue — which could be either an example of Content ID doing a really bad job (which has happened before), or a legitimate case of someone stealing my music and claiming it as their own. Either way, I hope I can resolve it very soon.
If you get a copyright claim against your YouTube videos, I recommend you appeal the decision, and if possible, post a link to the track in my library site, and also information about my Creative Commons license, which can be found here: https://www.scottbuckley.com.au/library/using-this-music/
As long as you credit me, you have the absolute right to use my music, and will never get a copyright claim from me.
Thanks again for your support, and I hope I can get things back to normal soon!
Cheers,
Scott.
Indeed. Content ID is the ultimate baddie in my universe right now… 😀
Yeah, Scott. Some rather nefarious nonsense going with the tube these days. Hmmm….
